Korres CC Cream review

Korres are one of these brands that has crept out of nowhere for me. I kind of knew about them, I recognised their little lip butter pots but that was it. In the last few months I’ve completely fell in love with them, with everything from skincare, bath and body and now makeup. When they told me about their Wild Rose CC cream I was really excited. I’d been looking for a lighter base for a while (after all their skincare basically fixed my skin!) and I thought it had quite a lot of potential. I’ve had it for about a month now and it has basically become my daily pick.

The CC cream comes in just two shades, light and medium. Light is the perfect match for my skin but it’s a shame that the range isn’t too accommodating for other skin tones, maybe it’s good at adjusting? Korres products always have quite strong scents, which personally I like but others might be more sensitive to, this CC cream is no different.  The application of the product is really easy, it has a pipette styled nozzle which means you can get the exact amount of product that you want. The packaging is also a squeezy plastic so when I get to the end of my tube I can easily get all the scraps of product out. I don’t know why more brands don’t design their base packaging like this, it might not look as pretty as a glass bottle but it’s a hell of a lot more practical.

Korres Wild Rose CC Cream on face

They say a photo can speak a thousand words, and in this case I hope it does and shows you what a lovely CC cream this is. On the left side I’ve gone bare and on the right side I’ve applied a layer of the cream. It’s light coverage but very buildable, I could definitely have gone in with a second layer here. The thing I love most about this CC cream is how brightening it is, it really wakes up the skin and leaves a glow behind. I also love how my skin still looks like skin. The last few weeks have been really warm in the UK and my nose freckles have started to make an appearance, and I actually really like them, this CC cream allows them to still show through slightly so I don’t look like I’m wearing a mask. It’s also done a great job at evening out my skin tone, my dark circles aren’t quite as bad, and the red of the blemishes are covered. A little bit of concealer and I’m good to go.

This doesn’t just feel like a makeup product, it feels like skincare too. It’s really moisturising on the skin and full of goodness for your skin including the Wild Rose oil full of Vitamin C. It seems silly to put so much effort into natural skincare and then forget all that when it comes to makeup. Overall, I really love this CC cream, it has become a staple in my makeup bag and I’ll definitely be repurchasing.
