Discovering a new makeup love is always a good feeling, but discovering that it pairs up perfectly with something you already own is even better. It was quite a long time ago now that I spoke about my favourite beauty pairings and since then I have found so many more amazing duos that I wanted to share. Whilst experimenting with makeup is always fun, sometimes it’s good to go for products which are reliable. These are all pairings that I reach for regularly as I just know that it’ll all turn out well – there is no risk attached. So let’s get on with those duos!

NARS Copacabana Illuminator and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Dim Infusion
This is definitely not the only highlighter and blush combination that I have found works well together, in fact, I could have written a whole post just on those duos, but for now I picked out this one as one of my favourites. As you all probably know, NARS Copacabana is one of my favourite products just ever, and I adore the Hourglass blush formulation, so it’s not really a surprise that I love them both together. I feel like the pinky undertones of Copacabana really suit the warmer tones of Dim Infusion, and neither are too glitsy so just provide a gorgeous sheen as opposed to a full on glitterball effect.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick and NARS Lip Gloss in Chihuahua
I was all about the dusky pinks when I went makeup shopping for my birthday this year, and Pillow Talk and Chihuahua were two of the goodies I picked up, and luckily they are match made in heaven – as I kind of anticipated. Pillow Talk has become an instant cult classic, and whilst I love the matte formula from Charlotte Tilbury, sometimes I just prefer a gloss look. The NARS lip glosses are my absolute favourite gloss formulations, and I’m so glad I chose the everyday shade Chihuahua as it can be worn alone or compliments so many of my lipsticks. I love it over Pillow Talk as whilst Pillow Talk is already long-lasting, Chihuahua just extends that and makes top ups so much easier!

L’Oréal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation and Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer
I wrote about both of these in my recent Top Picks for a Glowing Complexion post as they’re both just perfect for achiving a dewy look. I generally like matching my concealer to foundation in terms of coverage, so if I wear a full coverage foundation like Sheer Glow, I’ll pair it with a heavy duty concealer like Collection Lasting Perfection. If I use a lightweight foundation with a heavy concealer, I just feel like things look really unbalanced and the under eye area looks much more prominent than before which is the opposite of what I want. These two are both pretty light in coverage so work like a dream and my skin looks so radiant when I choose this duo.
