With all this nice weather we’ve been having, minus the occasional typically British thunderstorm, my makeup bag has slowly been transitioning from spring to summer. I haven’t quite made it there yet but there has been a fair few times now where I’ve reached for a bright lipstick and coral nail polish – my summer go tos. I’m all about a low key eye look at the moment, thanks to those LVL lashes and I’m also all about perfecting my base, having a manicure and wearing lipstick. In fact, I don’t remember the last day where I didn’t wear something on my lips which was definitely not the case a few years back. Anyway, as usual it’s that time to have a mooch through my makeup bag for the month ahead.

The Ordinary High-Spreadability Fluid Primer
After months of deliberation, I finally made an order from The Ordinary and whilst it’s mostly skincare, there are a few things that crossover to the makeup bag. The first is the High-Spreadability Fluid Primer which is definitely the less popular out of the two primers they offer, but actually, I really, really like it. It’s lightweight and hydrating on the skin and I notice my makeup goes on so much smoother especially around my nose.

The Ordinary Serum Foundation
I posted my thoughts on the two new foundations from The Ordinary last week and if you want a summary, basically I absolutely love the Serum Foundation, much to my surprise. It applies really quickly and evenly onto the skin, whilst still providing decent coverage, and it lasts all day. I can definitely see myself reaching for this a lot throughout June, in fact I’ve barely put it down since I’ve had it. f you want the whole low down read my review.

Rimmel Wonder’full Mascara
Since having LVL lashes, my taste in mascara has really changed and I’ve been exploring some different options as I’m normally so fussy. One that has been in my drawer, unopened, for a while is this Rimmel mascara. It’s enriched with argan oil and is more about definition than¬†anything else, and I must say I’ve been loving it on my lashes. If you want dramatic lashes this isn’t the one for you as it’s really subtle, but it just adds a nice depth to my already full looking LVL lashes. It’s soft on the lashes, so no clumping but dries quickly too. I’m a big fan.

Clinique Plum Pop Blush
I love the Clinique pop blushers and Plum Pop is a relatively new shade in my collection which I’ve been using a lot recently and no doubt will continue to use in June. It seems to flatter any spring and summer look as it’s a gorgeous touch of dark pink. I love the formulation of these as it’s not too pigmented making it easy to work with, but has enough pigmentation to make a decent impact. Very easy and quick to apply and a beautiful colour.

Rimmel Super Gel Nail Polishes
I’ve been a fan of the Rimmel Super Gel polishes for a while as my mum has quite the collection which I always raid, and I have a couple of my own. So I was really pleased to find their new summer shades on my doorstep. The whole range is really pretty and perfect for the season, but the two that instantly stood out were Purple Splash which is a lilac shade, and Sun Fun Daze a bright pink. You know I love my bright pink nails and I’ve been missing a lilac in my collection as I had to chuck out my Essie one so I can see myself using these in June.

Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Colour in Rosy (Review)
When I think of my summer lipsticks, there are two which instantly pop into mind, Bobbi Brown Rosy and MAC Crosswires. The latter is just a little too bright at the moment, but Rosy has started to re-enter my makeup bag as a gorgeous bright lip without being too much. This sheer formula from Bobbi Brown is perfect for bright shades as you can either keep things sheer or build it up, and it still stays moisturising and comfortable either way. You will definitely be spotting this lots on my Instastories throughout June.

What will be in your makeup bag throughout June?
