My Current Everyday Makeup Look

The last time I wrote about my current everyday makeup look was all the way back in March and things have definitely changed since then so I thought it was finally time to show up a more up-to-date version. Now, my makeup changes just as much daily as it does weekly and monthly, so doing these kinds of posts are always slightly tricky, however, I have some firm favourites that make really regular appearances and that are housed in my ‘everyday makeup’ unit and today I’m going to share with you just what they are.

Primer and I have a funny relationship and at the moment we are having a bit of an ‘off-moment’. If I do reach for one it’s normally the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer as it does smooth my skin nicely, but it’s not yet an everyday essential. For foundation, I’ve been absolutely loving the new Clarins Everlasting Cushion Foundation, I reviewed it the other day which explains in-depth just why I love it so much but to summarise it’s a gorgeous, dewy and long-lasting base. For concealer, I always use my Benefit Erase Paste (now has a new name) under the eyes to correct dark circles, then go in with my classic Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I tend to use this on any blemishes at the moment too.

I’m quite into a heavy-hand of face powder at the moment to really lock things in place and recently, I’ve been using the Rimmel InstaFix & Matte Powder a lot. I’ve also been quite heavy with my bronzer and that’s always my beloved Rimmel Radiance Brick as I love the warm hues and blendable formula. I apply my bronzer in a very traditional way as opposed to the more contemporary contour pattern as I like the sun-kissed look. On my cheeks, I’ve been obsessed with NARS Sin Blush and for a highlight, I’ve been using the NYX Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette although I don’t highlight every day.

On my brows I use the YSL Couture Brow Palette and apply it on with my favourite brow brush ever, the Nude by Nature Angled Brush. I don’t actually talk about that brush much but it really is a game-changer. I then go over them with Benefit Gimme Brow for extra hold and definition.

For years I used nothing but my NARS eyeshadow primer but a while back I discovered the amazing Milani Eyeshadow Primer which has the same long-lasting hold for a fraction of the cost. I’ve been pretty experimental with eyeshadow recently but my most reached for palette has probably been the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette as I just love those three bottom left-most shades. I line my eyes with the insanely good DHC Liquid Eyeliner and follow with the Rimmel 3D Lash Mascara. I like applying a few dots of the eyeliner along my lower lash line as it gives my mascara that 60s-esque look and makes them look much more volumised. Handy trick!

I switch up my lipstick daily but my most worn one at the moment is probably, you guessed it, Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Echo Park. I just can’t get enough of the stuff!
