About a month ago I posted all about my updated skincare routine. I really decided to strip things back and make things super simple for myself and whilst I posted my first impressions back then, it’s now been a month so I thought I’d update you with how I’ve been getting on. There’s a couple products I’ve kept going for the whole month but a few I ditched and replaced along the way. I’ve also started to add back in a couple of specialised treatments so I can target specific skincare concerns more, rather than just everyday management. Anyway, I hope you find this update interesting if you read the first one, please let me know if you’d like me to make this a monthly thing!

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

So starting off with my skin cleanser, my first impressions of the Clinique Cleansing Balm were great and things just got better throughout the month with using this. I just love how weightless it feels on my skin, yet leaves it feeling thoroughly cleansed. I’m still debating whether to go back to a cleansing oil and use this as a double cleanse combination as I have noticed my skin feeling a little less nourished then when I used cleansing oils. But it does a good job as a two in one cleanser and makeup remover so I’m happy with it for now.

Pixi Glow Tonic

The other product that I’ve kept using throughout the whole month is the Pixi Glow Tonic and of course, I’ve continued to love it. There were a few days when suddenly my skin started to feel a little sensitive so I’ve gone down to applying this every other night rather than every night, but I really enjoy it as a step in my routine. I had a few blemishes before I revamped my skincare and this has definitely helped fade blemish scars quicker than they normally would go, so that’s a massive thumbs up.

Origins Ginzing Gel Moisturiser

Now in my original update, my main moisturiser was the Benefit Total Cream but I noticed really quickly that this was wayyyy too heavy for my skin and was making it feel congested. I decided to peruse Boots for a new moisturiser and I very quickly decided on this gel moisturiser from Origins. Some of my favourite moisturisers have been gel-based and I just love this one. It’s a half-sized tub which is a great way to test it and once it is finished I’ll definitely just repurchase the full-sized. It has a really strong orange scent which I know others would hate, but personally I love it, and it’s just great for combination/oily skin.

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution

When I was really on top of my skincare routine I used this everyday and I noticed a huge difference in my dark circles even after just a week or so of using it daily. Well, I got lazy and stopped using it, and my dark circles definitely got worse again. I’ve started using this again and I’m already noticing the difference, I can’t wait to share the results after a month of using it though!

Sand & Sky Brilliant Skin Clay Mask

I really want to start doing regular face masks again and recently, I’ve done a couple and whenever I go to pick I nearly always go for my Sand & Sky Clay Mask. I wrote a review on this ages back and I explain that it is just a great all-rounder. Again, I find clay masks really beneficial for my oily-combination skin and this one just leaves it feeling so purified and definitely reduces the severity and longevity of any blemishes.
