The last time I shared my current makeup look was back in October and as always, things have changed a fair bit since then – especially since I gained a fair few new makeup bits recently. I also didn’t photograph the look back then which was just downright lazy! The makeup look I’m sharing today isn’t strictly my ‘everyday look’, I never wear the same makeup every day and to be honest I spend a lot of my weekdays having no makeup days now anyway. But I have been going for this look a lot on evenings out, weekends and basically when I want to make a little bit of effort, so it’s a good indication of my current ‘go tos’. Let’s take a look.

I’ve been starting off with the Laura Mercier Blemish-Less Primer and my first impression of this in my recent Laura Mercier post was a little underwhelming, however, I’ve actually really started to enjoy using it – although it still feels like a skincare step rather than massively effecting my makeup. For foundation, I’ve rediscovered the The Ordinary Serum Foundation recently after a few months break and I love it just as much as before. It’s just so quick and easy to apply and provides a nice dewy base. For under my eyes I use my classic combination of Benefit Boi-ing Concealer with Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer layered over the top.

Once my base makeup is done, I go in with the Rimmel Radiance Brick, another product I’ve been loving for a long time and actually featured in my 2017 favourites.  I don’t think I’ve loved a blush as much as my new Hourglass Blush in Incandescent Electra for a very, very, very long time. Normally, even with new blushers I tend to switch things up a lot but I just can’t resist wearing this one every day as it really brightens my skin and I love the subtle highlighter finish it has. I’ve then been going in with the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder which I like the finish of but don’t find it particularly groundbreaking.

As always, I prime my eyes with the Milani Eyeshadow Primer which has replaced my beloved NARS for everyday use – I save that one for special occasions now. I’ve found myself using the Eylure Fleur de Force Brow Palette a lot recently as I like the cool-toned shades and again, its a cheaper alternative to my YSL palette which I’m also avoiding using for everyday use. I normally use Benefit Gimme Brow to set my brows but I’ve back to the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows which has a  smaller and more precise wand – I like it a lot.

Up to this point, I’ve pretty much applied my everyday makeup for literally every day, but now it’s where I get more experimental with eyeshadow and lipstick. I’ve been absolutely loving my new Stila Rose Gold Retro, I can’t believe it took me so long to buy into the Magnifcent Metals hype. This is quite a glitsy choice for daily use but I’m loving it for evenings out etc as it’s so quick and easy to apply and makes it look as if I’ve put a ton of effort into my makeup – I’ve had lots of comments on this one. A simple lash of mascara from Benefit Roller Lash and my eye makeup is done. On the lips I’ve been loving Mac Lipstick in See Sheer which is a gorgeous sheer coral. Quite a spring/summer look but I’m done with winter.

Have you tried any of the products that I’ve been using recently?
