We are now mid-November and Christmas is 100% at the forefront of my mind and a big part of that is Christmas shopping. I absolutely love Christmas shopping and I’ve always been one of those people that really enjoys buying gifts for other people and puts a lot of thought into their presents. I just love that feeling when you know you’ve got something great and they’re just going to love it. I also admit that I have a pretty expensive taste for buying presents and every year I seem to spend more and more, but I can’t help myself… Today, I thought I’d do something a bit different and share some of my go-to brands and shops for Christmas shopping. Obviously, I do a lot of high street shopping too, but if you want something special then definitely check out these!

It has been a little while since I’ve done one of these posts but they’re one of my favourite posts to write as they’re all about sharing the love! Throughout the month (or months in this case) I make note of some of my favourite blog posts which I really enjoyed reading for whatever reason and then when I write these I go through all of them and see the ones that stuck with me. As always, these three are all quite different and I try to include some “deeper” blog posts and others that I just really enjoyed or found useful. So without further ado let’s see what I’ve been loving recently!

I don’t know when my transition to eyeshadow palette snob began, but it felt like overnight that I went from the likes of Makeup Revolution and MUA to Urban Decay and Charlotte Tilbury. In fact, it wasn’t that long ago that I had a serious palette clearout and gave most of my high street palettes to friends and family. Now I use a ton of high street makeup generally, but for some reason eyeshadow palettes became high-end only. Well recently, after receiving the Makeup Revolution Flawless 4 Palette at a Superdrug event, I’ve had a change of heart and I’ve remembered exactly why I love the high street so much and why their palettes shouldn’t be overlooked. Prepare for an absolute beaut.

For some reason in the last month my skincare routine has gone totally wrong. It’s not that I’ve been having bad reactions or anything, I’ve just become really lazy and have basically only been taking off my makeup and moisturising. I ran out of loads of things (mainly from The Ordinary) and I just stopped using them rather than replacing them. I’m annoyed with myself as for a good year I was really enjoying skincare and was noticing the differences in having a good routine so I’m DETERMINED to get myself back on it and enjoy skincare once again. I’ve got a fair few new products to try so I’m hoping these will spark back my love for skincare!

I feel like I’m trialling quite a few new beauty products at the moment so picking out my makeup bag to feature this month was a tricky one. I must say nothing helps a spending ban more than blogger mail and it’s pretty much the only way I’m getting through it so whilst I haven’t purchased anything new to feature, there’s still plenty of newness to go around. As always if you want to hear more about a specific product let me know as I always love writing up full reviews!
