This post ISN’T sponsored, I just really love the brand and concept so wanted to share!
I’ve always thought that haircare was overcomplicated. With skincare you have the traditional ‘three-step’ routine and tons of products clearly labelled for different skin types – the haircare industry just isn’t the same. It’s also hard to find an affordable haircare brand which actually works. So when Style Freedom got in touch about their affordable haircare brand which has a very simple to follow ‘four-step’ system, I was all over that and instantly began building a routine for my fine but lots of it hair type. I found it really easy to pick products as the range is colour-coded with ‘foundation’, ‘creation’, ‘finish’ and ‘revival’ steps, so I picked a couple from each.
I’d been wanting to try Fenty Beauty for a long while and I wanted to try it so damn much that I even made my dad queue with me to get my hands on this highlighter, so I think that shows the dedication here. Well, the highlighter I picked up, the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Duo in Lighting Dust & Fire Crystal has not disappointed and it has fast become one of my favourite beauty products so I’m keen to try some more from Fenty. An order is definitely on the way soon, so I thought whilst I was ordering, I’d order one of the highlighter duos for one of my lovely readers. This post is half review, to show you why I love this highlighter so much, and half giveaway – so if you’re interested in getting your hands on any shade of your choice, get scrolling.
For the last few years, every month I’ve shared what’s in my makeup bag for the month ahead and yano what I feel like that’s a bit excessive. Instead of going through my whole new beauty routine I’ve just decided to pick out a few key products that I’ll be trialling in the month whether that’s new in my collection or an old returner. Then in a few weeks time, I’ll come back to this and let you know how I’ve been getting on with it all. Sound good? Let’s get going.
My January favourites are always very much full of Christmas presents and that is no exception this year around. In January I always feel completely overwhelmed but excited by makeup again as I have so many new things to try and have that ‘new year new me’ lease of life which means experimenting and getting into good skincare and makeup routines. Whilst I’ve genuinely loved everything I received for Christmas, today I thought I’d share the standouts so far.
Oh how I’ve let myself down. I was so good for so long with my skincare routine and I’m absolutely kicking myself for letting things slide again. Things started to run out that I didn’t replace and before I knew it I was back to any old moisturiser and just about taking my makeup off. Well, I’m determined for 2018 (new year new me and all that) that I’m going to be better with my skin again. I kickstarted things last week when I went to my mums to stay for the week and packed myself a little skincare routine that was really easy to follow. When I’m at my home I get tempted by serums and masks and end up just throwing on anything, but last week was the perfect way to have some consistency with my new routine. Let’s see how I got on.
