After experiencing some Colourpop last year by winning a giveaway I was pretty desperate to get my hands on some more, but to be honest the whole ordeal of ordering seemed stressful enough to put me off. So when MyMallBox got in touch saying they would take over that process for me I was definitely keen. It took me so long to decide what to get as their shade ranges are a little overwhelming, so I ended up with a collection of recommendations and things I’d just eyed up myself. I love lots of the stuff, but also don’t love a few things I’d hoped to, so it’s a bit of a mixed bag.
I’m a bit of a sucker for beauty themed collections so when a Rimmel delivery came with ‘Cara’s Camo Look’ I was all over that – and I’m not even big on camo! I’ve always loved Cara Delevinge’s style, I totally appreciate it’s the polar opposite of my style but I can still admire her choices. This collection definitely screams Cara, who knows how involved she actually was, but the brows are there, the khaki is there and there’s a classic nude lip to finish the look. The range is only in Superdrug and is limited edition so best be quick if you like what you see.
When I find a concealer I really like, I’m incredibly loyal to it. Unlike foundations, which I never seem to repurchase, I’m always picking up my favourite concealers again and again and I think it’s because I just find it difficult to actually find ones I like. However, I do always have a few concealers and correctors on rotation as I’m forever testing new ones, but I nearly always go back to the same combination – which you’ll discover. I genetically have quite dark under eye circles, the perks of deep-set eyes, so I nearly always use both a corrector and concealer.
For some reason, I never used to think investing in high-end lip glosses was worth it. I would happily throw down twenty quid for a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick, but I couldn’t do the same with a gloss. I don’t really know why I had this mentality, maybe I was just satisfied with high street glosses, and didn’t understand how they could be that different. Well back at Christmas time I became curious and was lucky enough to receive a NARS lip gloss in the bright pink Priscilla. Spoiler alert, I loved it so much that a few months later I found myself with Chihuahua too.
I am back with the third part of my eyeshadow collection series, if you want to take a look back have a read through parts 1 and parts 2 to see more of my collection. I’ve really enjoyed doing this series so let me know if you want me to do the same with mascaras, blushers, lipsticks etcetc, we could literally be here all day! For now enjoy my final few eyeshadow palettes, including some current favourites, old favourites and ones that really aren’t my favourites at all!
